POSITION: Building Foreman
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a full time Building Foreman at the CONSOL Energy Center.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Schedules, coordinates and supervises/monitors general maintenance of facility. Assign work orders and supervise staff in changeovers, grounds keeping, cleaning, etc.
• Provides technical support, oversees and/or assists with repairs and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment.
• Works with staff to ensure the best possible sheet of ice for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
• Ensures proper utilization of Work Order and SMG Maintenance Manager systems.
• Acts as contact for suppliers, contractors and vendors.
• Ensures adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
• Analyze needs and plans preventive maintenance programs and upgrades for systems.
• Assure changeovers are completed in timely, cost-effective manner.
• Provide clear, concise and timely communication of directives to other departments.
• Take inventory, analyze and make recommendations for capital expenditures.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Responsible for the Master MSDS log in the building.
• Serves as building liaison to TV production crews for hockey game day park and power.
• All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, degree from technical college in Maintenance Engineering or similar
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Supervising or Managing a similar facility.
• Experience with maintaining an ice surface for skating and/or hockey preferred.
• Additional experience may be substituted for education.
• Good leadership and communication skills required.
• Previous union experience required.
