Accessibility Accommodations

CONSOL Energy Center strives to provide superior service to all of our guests, including those guests with disabilities and special needs. CONSOL Energy Center recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. CONSOL Energy Center provides a full range of accommodations for guests with disabilities to provide for the comfort and enjoyment of our events and facility. This section highlights our services:

Accessible Tickets

Accessible seating is available on all seating levels of CONSOL Energy Center. Seating locations vary depending upon the event. When ordering accessible tickets, it is important to indicate what type of accessible seat you require, so that we can properly assist you.

To purchase accessible seating:

  • Visit, select your event, click on the "Request Accessible Seating" icon
  • Call Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, or through the PA Relay Service at 7-1-1, follow the instructions to request your event, press the 9 key for accessible seating.
  • The Dick's Sporting Goods Box Office at CONSOL Energy Center also sells accessible seating. Please visit our ticket information page for hours and more information. For questions/concerns about accessible seating, please contact Guest Services.
  • For accessible seat locations, please view the seating chart on the individual event pages.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available in a number of lots near CONSOL Energy Center. These lots include the East Lot, North Lot, South Lot and West Lot. Designated spaces are available for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. These accessible spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis, so please plan accordingly. Additionally, accessible parking is available in the parking garage attached to CONSOL Energy Center with the following conditions:

  • For Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games: Accessible parking in the garage is reserved for suite holders and loge box season ticket holders.
  • For all other events: Accessible and general parking in the garage will vary from event to event, based upon availability. For specific event availability, please call 412-642-1800 or through the PA Relay Service at 7-1-1.


The accessible drop-off location for CONSOL Energy Center is located on Fifth Avenue near the Peoples Gate at the southwest corner of CONSOL Energy Center.

Wheelchair Escorts

CONSOL Energy Center provides complimentary wheelchair escorts for guests when requested. Wheelchair escorts may be requested at any entry point. Please be aware that our staff will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event. Upon request, our staff will also provide you with an escort after the event. Personal assistance into or out of the wheelchair cannot be provided.


CONSOL Energy Center is equipped with elevators and escalators that access all areas of the arena. Should you require special assistance in reaching your seat, please contact Guest Services in advance or see any Guest Services staff member during the event.

First Aid

There are two (2) First Aid Stations located inside CONSOL Energy Center. One is located on the main concourse near section 104. The other is located on the upper concourse near section 232 (this location may not be open for certain events). These locations are staffed with trained emergency medical personnel during events. If you are in need of medical attention, please notify a CONSOL Energy Center employee for assistance.

Service Animals

Service animals that are specifically trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability are welcome in CONSOL Energy Center. All service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness and be under control of the guest with a disability or designee. The service animal must rest in the seating area with the individual and not in the aisle.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALD)

Assistive Listening Devices are available for guests with hearing disabilities at all CONSOL Energy Center events. To obtain an Assistive Listening Device, please visit our Guest Services location on the main concourse just outside section 104. Guests will be required to leave valid picture identification or credit card as collateral for the device.


All restroom facilities at CONSOL Energy Center are accessible. In addition, there are fourteen (14) family/unisex restrooms, including one in each First Aid room, available throughout CONSOL Energy Center, which provide private and convenient toilet facilities for our guests with disabilities.

Interpreting Services

CONSOL Energy Center is pleased to provide interpretation services for our guests with hearing disabilities for events. Interpreting services are not guaranteed for every event. However, we will make every effort to accommodate each request with appropriate advance notice. For most events, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters are available for our guests with hearing disabilities. Guests may arrange for interpreters by contacting Guest Services or by calling 412-642-1800 or through the PA Relay Service at 7-1-1 at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled event.


All suites in CONSOL Energy Center are wheelchair accessible. Each suite is equipped with a removable drink rail to accommodate patrons who use wheelchairs. If you require the removal of a rail in a suite for a wheelchair, please contact Guest Services in advance of the event to which you are attending with the date, time, suite number and owner's/renter's contact information.
